take charge of your menopause, don’t let menopause take charge of you.

designing a plan that works for you.

Initial consultation – Up to an hour (Face to face or Remote)

Prior to appointment you’ll receive a registration form and symptoms questionnaire to complete.

During the initial consultation we will discuss all your symptoms, physical and psychological in details and take comprehensive medical history. You will be given ample time to talk about your menopause symptoms and how it’s effecting you and explore your expectations and what is important to you. I will take time to answer any question or concern you might have in a sensitive and supportive manner.

We will discuss available treatment options, hormonal (HRT) and non-hormonal, and if any further blood tests or investigations are required. We will look at the lifestyle advice, assessing and modifying risk factors, and assess risk for long term health problems.

If we agree that HRT is the right option for you, my preference is to prescribe body identical HRT whenever possible in line with NICE and British Menopause Society guidance.

As every woman’s menopause journey is unique and symptoms can vary considerably, my practice is to provide individualised treatment and care to each woman centred on evidence-based treatment and needs.

Following initial consultation, you will receive written summary of your consultation and personalised care plan. We will also write to your GP to let them know what has been prescribed with your permission.

After the first month, you will receive a short e-mail to check how you are getting on with your treatment and if there are any adverse effects or problems that would require early follow up consultation.

Follow-up consultation – 30 minutes (Face to face or Remote)

Follow up consultation is normally three months after initial appointment. You will complete symptoms questionnaire prior to the appointment.

During this consultation we will discuss again your symptoms, response to treatment and adjustments if needed, side effects and asses again risks versus benefits.

Additional appointments are available as needed, to provide support and care.

ANNUAL REVIEW - 30 MINUTES (FACE TO FACE OR REMOTE)

Women on HRT should have an annual review or after any change in HRT. During the review we assess symptoms and address any concerns you might have, medication side effects, effectiveness, any bleeding problems, dosage, and assess again risks versus benefits.
